Professor Beatz is creating this effect using Native Instruments Traktor (DJ software). The Traktor produces a MIDI Clock out which syncs Ableton Live (sequencer). Within the Ableton Live he’s triggering MIDI loops, which control two Chauvet Obey 40 DMX controllers via MIDI. One Obey 40 controller is for the 4 American DJ X0Scan LED Plus scanners, the other is for the 2 American DJ MegaPanel LEDs. This setup allows the scanner movement and LED panel color changes to stay in sync with the audio. The video is mixed using American DJ’s Grand VJ.
